Support to Local Governance Programme
As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. On behalf of German Ministry of Development Cooperation (BMZ) and co-funded by the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC), GIZ implements the Support to Local Governance Programme, which is seeking suitable candidates for the following positions;

Job title' Advisor Institutional Development (Reference No. LoGo 2016/006) 

Duty Station Peshawar

Qualifications and Experience: 

• University degree in a topic related course (e.g. public administration, social science)
• Minimally (5) five years' of professional working experience in as an advisor in development cooperation with proven expertise in advising governmental decision-makers with organisational development in the field of decentralization and/or public administration
• Excellent knowledge and experience of the political and administrative system of Pakistan and especially the local government system of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
• Proficient in Urdu, English and knowledge of Pashto language will be of advantage

Job title: : Advisor Local Revenue Generation (Reference No. LoGo 2016/007)

 Duty Station Peshawar

Qualifications and Experience:

 • Master degree in a topic related course (e.g. economics, business, public administration)
• Minimally (5) five years' of professional working experience in as an advisor in development cooperation with proven expertise in advising governmental decision-makers in revenue generation issues
• Excellent knowledge of the local government system of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and experience with public finance management system of Pakistan
• Proficient in Urdu, English and knowledge of Pashto language will be of advantage

Job title: Advisor Organizational Development (Reference No. LoGo 2016/008) 

Duty Station: Lahore

Qualifications and Experience:

 • University degree in a topic related course (e.g. public administration, social science);
• Minimally (5) five years' of professional working experience in as an advisor in development cooperation with proven expertise in advising governmental decision-makers with organisational development in the field of local government
• Excellent knowledge and experience of the political and administrative system of Pakistan and especially the local government system of Punjab
• Proficient in Urdu, English and knowledge of Pashto language will be of advantage

Job title:: Junior Advisor Taxpayer Outreach (Reference No. LoGo 2016/009) 

Duty Station: Lahore

Qualifications and Experience:

 • Master degree in a topic related course (e.g. economics, business, public administration)
• One to (3) three years' of professional working experience in public administration and/or development cooperation with focus on tax-reform and/or public finance management
• Good knowledge and experience of the political and administrative system of Pakistan and especially the provincial tax-system of Punjab
 • Experience in using information technology to facilitate service delivery, including websites and social media platforms as well as eGovernance systems
 • Proficient in Urdu, English and knowledge of Pashto language will be of advantage
